Inner Wound Recordings are proud to announce the signing of the US symphonic metal band MIDNIGHT ETERNAL to the label. Their self-titled debut album will be released on April 29th in Europe and North America.
What characterizes the sound of Midnight Eternal is the sense of melody- a synthesis of melody and power, crushing guitars, double bass and beautiful multi-layered vocals. Led by the beautiful and emotional vocals of Raine Hilai, the future of Midnight Eternal looks very bright.
The album was engineered by Eric Rachel [Skid Row, Symphony X] and the mixing and mastering was handled by Tommy Hansen [Helloween, Pretty Maids, Jorn]. The impressive artwork was created by Jan Yrlund [Apocalyptica, Korpiklaani, Delain].

The sound of Ravenia is characterized by the massive orchestrations and the beautiful and emotional vocals from Armi and can be described as a mix between composers like Two Steps From Hell and Hans Zimmer, and metal bands like Nightwish and Epica.
"Beyond The Walls Of Death" was mixed by Nino Laurenne [Wintersun, Battle Beast, Ensiferum] at Sonic Pump Studios and mastered by Svante Forsback [Volbeat, Sonata Arctica, Apocalyptica] at Chartmakers. The album artwork was created by Jan Yrlund [Korpiklaani, Apocalyptica, Leah].

Inner Wound Recordings are proud to announce the signing of the cinematic metal project DARK SARAH to the label.
DARK SARAH is the new project from Heidi Parviainen [ex. Amberian Dawn]. The debut album called "Behind the Black Veil" leads you through the psychological adventure of Sarah, who is hovering between her two personalities. Dark Sarah's music combines metal, film music and theatrical elements. Sarah's thoughts are at best depicted in the dialogues (duets) with the guests - "The Fate": Manuela Kraller (ex Xandria), "The Queen of No Good": Inga Scharf (Van Canto) and "The Moon": Tony Kakko (Sonata Arctica).
Production, orchestrations and mixing was handled by Mikko P. Mustonen, Pathos Music [Delain, Sonata Arctica, Ensiferum] and the album was mastered by Henkka Niemisto, Chartmakers [Volbeat, Sonata Arctica, Korpiklaani]. Inner Wound Recordings are proud to announce the signing of the melodic metal band Neonfly to the label. Their up-coming album "Strangers in Paradise" will be released on November 28th in Europe, December 1st in the UK and December 2nd in North America.
"Strangers In Paradise" is the work of a band who have patently grown in stature and now very much developed their own true musical and lyrical voice. Issues addressed include invasion, addiction, social injustice, political corruption, the end of innocence and emotional loss. The album artwork, inspired by Aztec / Mesoamerican culture, is courtesy of up and coming US artist Jorge "Qetza" Garza.

131120: Persuader: "The Fiction Maze" details revealed
|
|
|
The fourth PERSUADER album "The Fiction Maze" will be released in Europe on January 17th and in North America on January 21st through Inner Wound Recordings. Avalon/Marquee will release the album in Japan on December 25th.
”The Fiction Maze” is another step forward for PERSUADER as they constantly continue to develop their sound, song-writing skills and performance. Persuader describes the sound:
“A lot of hard work was put into creating the perfect mix of everything we've done so far. We've expanded on the Persuader sound while keeping true to the core that is the band; heavy riffing, strong melodies, pounding rhythms and soaring vocals.”
The mixing and mastering was handled by Ronnie Björnström [Aeon, Apostasy, Bone Gnawer] and the production fits the album really well, giving lots of space to the more aggressive side of the Persuader sound, but without losing the melodic parts in the process.
“The Fiction Maze” is the proof that Persuader is still one of the most exciting Swedish bands, and also one of the best power metal bands there is. The performance, song-writing and production is outstanding and with vocalist Jens Carlsson [who made his best vocal contribution so far on this album] they truly stand out in the scene and “The Fiction Maze” will for sure be a big hit and a classic in the scene.

Inner Wound Recordings are proud to announce the signing of the Swedish melodic hard rock band Saffire to the label. Their debut album "From Ashes To Fire" will be released on May 17th in Europe and North America.
Saffire are inspired by the 70's and 80's rock and metal bands like Rainbow, Dio, Whitesnake, Van Halen and Black Sabbath. The sound of Saffire can be described as a mix of those bands with a progressive twist, something that makes them stand out in the scene.
The debut album "From Ashes To Fire" was mixed by Fredrik Nordström & Henrik Udd at Studio Fredman [At The Gates, In Flames, Hammerfall] and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios [Symphony X, Opeth, Kreator]. Needles to say, the production on “From Ashes To Fire” is excellent. The artwork for the album was created by Anders Fästader at A Trailermade Production [H.E.A.T., Hardcore Superstar, The Poodles].
Victor Olssons intelligent songwriting and impressive guitar playing together with the bands excellent musicianship and the powerful and emotional vocals from Tobias Jansson, Saffire is a dangerous five piece with an exciting future ahead of them.

"Hollow's Gathering" feat. guest appearances by Tim "Ripper" Owens [ex. Judas Priest, Iced Earth], Blaze Bailey [ex. Iron Maiden], Michael Vescera [Obsession, ex. Loudness, Yngwie Malmsteen], Amanda Sommerville [Trillium, Avantasia], Markus Grosskopf [Helloween] and many more. The album was mixed by Matt Smith [Theocracy] and mastered by Miro at The Gate Studio [Avantasia, Kamelot, Rhapsody]. Artwork was created by Felipe Machado Franco [Blind Guardian, Rhapsody of Fire, Iced Earth].
The project is conceived by drummer Heleno Vale. Many vocalists play different characters in a story concerning the conflicts among human emotions. These characters face situations of internal conflict as they are requested for making decisions which, without their knowledge, affect and change the course of the present, future, and even past of all the other characters. The SOULSPELL story intends to make us wonder how a fifteen-year-old boy, a powerful evil dragon, or even a simple humble lumberjack, by simply living and believing, can interfere in the lives of all in every possible dimension.

"The Eyes Of Power" is a one of a kind conceptual metal album. The whole concept revolves around real historical events that defined the Roman – Persian relations during the late antiquity (224 – 630 AD) in the Middle East. With a clear aim to capture the atmosphere of that particular time period and to keep the language as authentic as possible,
Original written sources and scholar literature were carefully studied. On the album you can hear many oriental sounding riffs and chord progressions.

Inner Wound Recordings are proud to announce the release of the second full-lenght album from the Brazilian power metal opera project SOULSPELL. The album is entitled "The Labyrinth of Truths", and features guests like Jon Oliva [Jon Oliva's Pain, ex. Savatage], Roland Grapow [Masterplan, ex. Helloween], Zak Stevens [Circle II Circle, ex. Savatage] and Edu Falaschi [Angra]. The release date for Europe and North America is set to October 8th!
The project is conceived by drummer Heleno Vale. Many vocalists play different characters in a story concerning the conflicts among human emotions. These characters face situations of internal conflict as they are requested for making decisions which, without their knowledge, affect and change the course of the present, future, and even past of all the other characters. The SOULSPELL story intends to make us wonder how a fifteen-year-old boy, a powerful evil dragon, or even a simple humble lumberjack, by simply living and believing, can interfere in the lives of all in every possible dimension.
